I’m Nigel Felton, and my journey into the roofing industry wasn’t exactly conventional. Before becoming part-owner and Managing Director of Auckland Roofcraft, I spent 27 years working in various roles at McDonald’s. But life has a way of leading you to new challenges, and in November 2017, together with my wife Katrina, I took the leap into the roofing world.
What made this transition even more special was the partnership with my lifelong friend Andrew Smillie. We’ve been mates since our Kelston Boys High School days in the 1980s, and now, we’re building something amazing together. Andrew and his wife Rhonda, who keeps our operations running smoothly as Administration Manager, make up the other half of the ownership team.

Since taking over from the original founders, Mario and Jane Videtta, in 2017, we’ve worked hard to grow and evolve the business while maintaining Auckland Roofcraft's strong reputation. Some of our proudest moments include:
Became a member of the EMA, strengthening our business network.
Joined the Roofing Association of New Zealand, cementing our place among the best in the industry.
A big year of growth – moved to a new office on Marua Road, became an accredited contractor for Auckland Council, and earned our first Impac Prequal Certification.
Gained accreditation as an installer for Cushman & Wakefield and the Department of Corrections, reinforcing our credibility and expertise.
A year of recognition —recertified for Impac Prequal for the third time and featured in Roof Link magazine for a standout re-roofing project in Parnell. We also relocated to our current home at 67L Elizabeth Knox Place to accommodate our expanding team.
At Auckland Roofcraft, we create lasting relationships with our customers.
